Description
Muhammadiya Ottoman Islamic Religious Calligraphy Manuscript on smoothed paper. Magnesia, Ottoman Empire, dated 1262 (1845/46). W 20cm, L 28cm. With ornamental floral decoration in front of a copper-colored background and a sheet-sized watercolored decorative page. Font in black ink for main text and red ink for headlines. Original leather binding with embossed elements in very good condition. Text blocks finely framed in copper luster and with separate headings. 18th century. 266 sheets.
